Everything you want is on the other side of fear

Fear isn’t really a positive word. It’s dark and makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s anxious and stressing, it wakes up memories of situations where we felt weak and helpless. Fear stops us from having the things we truly want to have and to be the persons we truly want to be. But there is something more to fear. It can be transformed into a tool. It can help you to rise above all the limitations that your environment, society, or even yourself have put on you. You can turn helplessness into true empowerment. You can turn stress and anxiety into willpower and determination based on self-confidence. And that’s when you pass through – to the other side of fear.
I started this blog because I want you to know that there is something else is out there. I want you to know what can happen when you leave your safe haven and everything you know behind and embark on an exciting journey towards the unknown, where your heart is the only one that guides you and your dreams are the only thing that matters. I want you to know how it can feel to overcome your fears.
I started writing a long time ago, when I noticed that it makes me feel like I would discover a whole new world which always was there, but unseen and hidden for those who wouldn’t believe in its magic and wonders. When I went through depression, writing was liberating for me, like bleeding on paper and letting out all the paralyzing emotions. When I was feeling really happy, I wrote words that were so inspired by life itself that sometimes I couldn’t even remember that it was me who created them. Writing is an essential part of myself and so I want to make it the essential part of my life. So I decided to create a project: a self experiment on what happens when you leave everything behind and just follow your heart and dreams blindly, wherever they might take you and no matter how absurd or pointless it may seem at first. What do I have to loose?
We all have a dreamer inside of us. We all sometimes think about how our life would be, if we chose that opportunity that sounds so adventurous, unusual or off the rules or how our life would have been if we had decided differently at some point of our lives. We all dive into daydreams sometimes, to do fantastic things or to imagine life at its best.
This blog, where I will document the whole process of my experiment, is for all you people who think that there is something more to life than routines and playing by the rules and sticking to the norms. For all you dreamers and rebels, for all you fighters and warriors, loners and outsiders. For everyone who once felt suppressed by frustration, anxiety or depression. For everyone who once felt they couldn’t truly be themselves. For everyone who felt that at some point they were ignoring what their heart and soul whispered (or screamed) to them. And for every single person who honestly feels that there shouldn’t be anything you have to put up with if it doesn’t feel like the true and highest you.
